Sharp wave slow wave complex

  • Sharp wave followed by a slow wave (usually the slow wave is of higher amplitude than the sharp wave)
  • Sharp wave:
    • Clearly distinguishable from background activity
    • Sharp peak at conventional paper speeds (i.e. 30 mm/sec)
    • Duration of 70-200 ms
